Welcome to My Corner
Hi, I’m Jason Ortiz, and I’m so glad you found your way here. This site is where I bring together my books, my art, and my life’s journey, and I’d like to share a little about who I am.
Professionally, I’ve spent my career in Information Technology, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Information and Communication Technology and working on systems that keep the digital world moving. But writing has always been more than a side passion; it’s been a form of therapy and expression that has carried me through every stage of my life.
My books are reflections of my experiences. Rover came from real loss, a story that mirrors the pain and love we all go through. Moonyas Heroes is my way of thanking the frontline workers who make a difference every single day. Even the more practical books like my Mileage & Maintenance Log Book or The Heart’s Promise Journal are born out of my own journey and the lessons I’ve learned along the way.
I live with ADHD, which means I have more ideas and stories than I know what to do with, but turning them into books is how I bring clarity and peace to my world. Writing lets me take all the energy, stress, and emotions swirling in my head and transform them into something that can help or inspire someone else.
Outside of writing, I love digital art, photography, woodworking, and videography. I often blend those passions into my books, especially my children’s stories, where I can match meaningful words with artwork I’m proud of.
From childhood asthma to blood clots to rebuilding my health, my journey has taught me that every struggle carries a story worth telling. This site is my way of giving those stories back to the world in hopes that something here will connect with you, inspire you, or simply remind you that you’re not alone.
This site is also a place to share books I recommend and to recognize the partners who have supported me along the way. Please visit my blog for great recommendations.
A Special Thank You
Most importantly, I want to thank my children Madden, HayLeigh, and Gage, whose love and presence give me purpose every day.
To my wife Katherine, thank you for the Love, bringing peace, understanding, and motivation into my life.
And to her children Alex, Kriztan, and Kyle, I am deeply grateful for your support and for welcoming me into your lives with open hearts.

We all come from broken pasts, pain and despair. Yet like a mosaic, we can piece it all together with love making something truly beautiful.
